Unique Fun For Las Vegas Visitors
by Kendra Thornton

Las Vegas is popularly known as a naughty playground full of opportunities to drink and gamble, but it actually offers plenty more. As a Las Vegas resident, I've discovered more to do here than anywhere else I've lived. Here are some of my favorite activities that I recommend to anybody visiting Las Vegas.

1. See the desert in style.

Las Vegas is a blast to explore, but visitors should also check out the surrounding area. Flying over the desert in a helicopter is one way to do this, but it's not the most stylish. That distinction definitely goes to Pink Jeep Tours Las Vegas. If you arrange for one of their tours, a Pink Jeep will pick you up from your hotel. A tour of the Grand Canyon is just one option possible with this service.

2. Develop expertise in wine.

Do you enjoy fine wine? Would you like to learn the ins and outs of tasting and cooking with it? Sommelier wine, mixology and cooking classes give this opportunity in a way that only Las Vegas can offer. These classes will teach you to taste wine like a pro, and by the time you leave, you'll even know how to bartend. Only four participants are taught at a time, boosting the value of the experience.

3. Become a friend of dolphins.

You can learn to train Dolphins at Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat. Throughout your day, experts will guide your interactions with Atlantic bottlenose dolphins. The experience includes learning about the behavior and health of these amazing creatures. By the time you leave, you'll have beautiful memories that will last a lifetime. Don't miss this one if you love exotic sea life.

4. Learn pro golf skills.

Butch Harmon, who coached Tiger Woods, offers a golf clinic for players who want to take their golf game to the next level. Highly skilled trainers generally teach it, but Butch Harmon himself teaches classes a few times a year. Your transportation to and from the clinic is included in certain lodging packages at Caesars Palace. I don't golf, but my husband says this program is amazing. It's also a perfect place to send your significant other if you want some time alone to shop or visit a local spa.

Las Vegas has so much to offer that I haven't listed here. Additionally, it isn’t short on hotel options and sites like Gogobot make it easy to read user reviews to help you plan your trip. However, these are definitely my top choices for tourist fun. Drinking and gambling draw many tourists, but activities like the ones I've listed should be experienced by anybody who wants to get the most out of a trip to Sin City.
