PLEASE NOTE THAT FILLING OUT A VISA APPLICATION FORM DOES NOT MEAN YOU HAVE SUBMITTED A VISA APPLICATION!

After having successfully filled out a visa application form online, please submit your printed protocol receipt - and all the documentation required per visa type - in person at the Consulate (by the applicant or by a proxy - any friend, relative or colleague can act as a proxy), or through a travel or visa service agency.

It is possible that when you access the application form website, you may get a "untrusted connection" message. This is because the security certificate that was issued may not be yet recognized by some browsers. GO AHEAD, IT IS A SECURE WEBSITE.
If you are using Firefox browser, click on "I understand the risk" and "Add an Exception"; on the next window, wait a little bit and then click on "Confirm security exception"; you will be redirected to the visa request home page; or if you are using Windows Internet Explorer, click on "Continue to this website (not recommended)" and you will be redirected to the visa request home page.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO FILL OUT A VISA APPLICATION FORM

All applications must have the upload of your photo, signature and documents in the end of filling out the form. Originals of uploaded documents MUST still be physically submitted.


1) Click on one of the flags available for intructions on the language of your choosing (Portuguese, English, French, German or Spanish), as indicated by the arrow below OR select the language from the list. Then click on “VISA”


2) READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. Press "Start New Application".

NOTE: these are general instructions for every Brazilian Consular Office in the world.

For item 6: The Consulate General of Brazil in Washington ONLY ACCEPTS as payment for visa fees UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE (USPS) MONEY ORDER(S) made out to the "CONSULATE GENERAL OF BRAZIL", in the exact amount of the service(s) requested. Please bring one USPS money order per application. Cash, credit cards, checks or any other money order(s) are NOT ACCEPTED.
